Origin.from_plane

classmethod Origin.from_plane(plane)

Constructs a frame from a plane.

Xaxis and yaxis are arbitrarily selected based on the plane’s normal.

Parameters

plane ([point, vector] | compas.geometry.Plane) – A plane.

Returns

compas.geometry.Frame – The constructed frame.

Examples

>>> from compas.geometry import Plane
>>> plane = Plane([0,0,0], [0,0,1])
