compas.geometry.add_vectors_xy(u, v)[source]

Add two vectors, assuming they lie in the XY-plane.

Parameters

  • u ([float, float] or [float, float, float] | Vector) – XY(Z) components of the first vector.

  • v ([float, float] or [float, float, float] | Vector) – XY(Z) components of the second vector.

Returns

[float, float, 0.0] – Resulting vector in the XY-plane.
