compas.geometry.angle_planes(a, b, deg=False)[source]

Compute the smallest angle between the two normal vectors of two planes.

Parameters
Returns

  • float – The smallest angle in radians, or in degrees if deg == True.

  • float – The other angle.

Examples

>>> plane_a = [0.0, 0.0, 0.0], [0.0, 0.0, 1.0]
>>> plane_b = [0.0, 0.0, 0.0], [1.0, 0.0, 0.0]
