Bezier.normal_at

Bezier.normal_at(t)[source]

Compute the normal vector to the curve at the point at the given parameter.

Parameters:
tfloat

The value of the curve parameter. Must be between 0 and 1.

Returns:
compas.geometry.Vector

The corresponding normal vector.

Examples

>>> curve = Bezier([[0.0, 0.0, 0.0], [0.5, 1.0, 0.0], [1.0, 0.0, 0.0]])
>>> print(curve.normal_at(0.5))
Vector(x=0.000, y=-1.000, z=0.000)
